Sumsible offers eight quantity calculators for household material planning. Every tool works independently. A local material list connects estimates when you choose to identify and save the exact products.
Measurements first. Assumptions visible.
Lengths are calculated internally in meters, areas in square meters and volumes in cubic meters. Paint uses liters; gravel and seed weight use kilograms. Display units convert those same physical quantities; changing display units does not change the measured project. US gallons are explicitly distinguished from Imperial gallons.
Allowance, density, coverage, package size and pattern repeat come from your inputs. Loaded values are worked examples, not universal defaults or recommendations. Product references are for checking assumptions and are not endorsements.
Why the material list can change a purchase count
Unrounded requirements are added for a compatible product before the final package rounding. Existing whole packages are then deducted once. Compatibility requires exact product identifiers, characteristics and relevant numerical properties. We do not infer that two similarly named products are interchangeable.
Wallpaper is handled separately: drops are pooled only within the same cut-length batch, with full-roll purchase rounding. Different heights do not receive an assumed offcut optimization.
Precision and limits
Displayed quantities are rounded for readability. Package counts use the unrounded calculation with a narrowly bounded correction for binary floating-point noise at exact integer boundaries. Measurement uncertainty usually matters far more than additional decimal places.
These tools estimate quantities. They do not select structural dimensions, installation assemblies, material safety, legal compliance or suitability. See each tool’s specific exclusions and example before relying on its result.

Saved project information stays in local browser storage. You can remove estimates, print results and download details. Clearing site data or changing devices can remove access to those saved estimates. Sumsible has no accounts, live prices, affiliate links or paid features.
